If you’re not eligible for Medicare, you have not been insured for the past six months (not including OHP), and you meet income requirements, you might be able to get help through the Family Health Insurance Assistance Program (FHIAP). FHIAP pays a percentage of your costs for private health insurance (including monthly premiums, deductibles and co-pays).
To apply for FHIAP call (888) 564-9669, or for TTY: (800) 433-6313.
